CMSSL Announces 10th Anniversary Gala Event, “Notes From Hollywood – The Sequel”

We are pleased to present our 10th Anniversary Gala honoring Saint Louis icon Leonard Slatkin in the Sheldon Concert Hall. CMSSL’s 10th Anniversary Gala honoring Leonard Slatkin, which was postponed due to Leonard’s triple bypass surgery, is rescheduled for Monday December 10, 2018.  Leonard and Cindy Slatkin are now residents of St. Louis. This will add to the special atmosphere of the evening…not to mention that “The Wizard” Ozzie Smith has most graciously adjusted to the rescheduled date and will be there to participate in the fun. For those who have purchased VIP Ticket Packages or Concert Only tickets, you will be receiving tickets/information with the new date in the mail. You do not need to do anything. The concert portion of the evening will reprise our 2013 and 2014 (Chicago) “Notes From Hollywood” performances of chamber music written by Hollywood film composers. In addition to the music, Mr. Slatkin will share stories about the music and the composers, many of whom were regular visitors in the Slatkin home as he was growing up in Los Angeles. Hosts for the Gala include Honorary Chairman Noémi K. Neidorff, Co-Chairs Thomas R. and Carol J. Voss and Host Committee Co-Chairs Miran Halen, Mary Forsyth and Faith Berger. VIP packages for the event will be available, and include valet parking, pre-concert cocktails, preferred concert seating, a post-concert dinner by Butler’s Pantry and a copy of Slatkin’s latest book, Leading Tones.
