May 6 Concert Review: “Popular Fare Need Not Be Light Entertainment”

“…The selections never lacked for tappable rhythms and hummable melodies…” READ REVIEW in St. Louis American by Chris King Review Prelude: “The St. Louis American Foundation was not alone in paying posthumous recognition to Michael F. Neidorff in 2024. The recipient of an unprecedented posthumous award at the foundation’s 2024 Salute to Excellence in Business, Neidorff also is the namesake of the Chamber Music Society of St. Louis’ 15th Anniversary concert series this year. The society’s Vienna-themed performance on Monday, May 6 was so lively and life-affirming that it called death itself into question.”

And, the composition just happened to be the Brahms Sonata Op.108 that Hannah and Brian will be performing Monday evening. Our concert will open with the Prelude segment featuring Rader Young Artists, Sophia Heaton, violin and Brody VanWave, viola.
