My wife and I have been season ticket holders since it first began. We love certain composers and pieces; and, we love when we are introduced to a piece we have never heard before.
Every year, it is the anticipation of the new calendar. It is the listening to a piece, to have the shuddering of the body and the electricity up the spine. It is watching the violinist, the singer, the conductor, or any other performer, shine through the art and the hours of practice that go into it. It is the handshakes during the meet & greets. This is what the Chamber Music Society of St. Louis means to us.
