Chamber Music Society will celebrate the progress of our Rader Young Artists this past year in a final concert on Friday June 13th at 7:30pm. These six musicians ranging from 14-18 years old were selected last fall in our annual competition. In addition to the scholarship money awarded, these students have opened Chamber Society Concerts throughout the season and received instruction in our Master Class Series. In this final concert, the Rader Young Artists are paired with professional Chamber Society musicians (Alvin McCall, Davin Rubicz, Kyle Lombard, and Michael Casimir) to perform three quartets. The repertoire is Mozart D Minor, K. 421, Beethoven Op. 18 No. 6, and finally Schubert’s ‘Death and the Maiden’ which turned out to be an appropriate selection for a Friday the thirteenth concert.
The concert will take place at Salem United Methodist Church and is free for anyone to attend (no tickets required).
