Chamber Academy

Chamber music offers a powerful complement to traditional large ensemble experiences by placing students in small groups such as string quartets or piano trios where each student is individually responsible for their part. This fosters accountability, confidence, teamwork, and deeper musical growth, along with meaningful peer connections and mentorship from dedicated coaches. Our partnership with the Arianna String Quartet provides another dimension of support for our students.

Chamber Academy is designed to be flexible and accessible, allowing students to participate alongside school or youth orchestra commitments with scheduling tailored to their availability. Each student is carefully appraised, placed into an ensemble with appropriate repertoire, and supervised by experienced coaches. Ensembles rehearse after school, with accommodations for school breaks. The program is enriched by monthly Saturday assemblies featuring performances, masterclasses, and special events. Students also perform in two public concerts each season, winter and spring, showcasing their progress and collaborative work.
